Sanjeev Krishan Thakur Ji was born on 23rd December, 1984 to a Vaishnav Brahman family at the sacred and renowned place of Paigaon in Vrijbhumi known as Sant Nagaji’s place of “Tapa” i.e. spiritual sadhna. His respected father Shri Satyabhan is a teacher and mother Smt. Radha Deviji is a Krishna devotee and Param Bhakt.
Thakurji’s grand father Shri Ramjilal Sharma and grand mother Smt. Kiran Sharma both have been teachers. They made sincere efforts to educate the entire family and inculcated in them moral and spiritual values i.e. “samskaras” in the ancient traditions, religious and moral framework of Vaishnavs.
At the age of 3 years, when the child Sanjeev Krishan began to stand on his head with legs upward (a yogic kriya called “Padamasan”} everyone around was shell-shocked and uttered in disbelief that the child must have been a Yogi in his previous incarnation / birth. Also, Thakurji’s great grand mother Smt. Parmali Devi was a devotee of Balaji and used to perform “arti” and sing glories (kirtan) of Balaji every day. The child Sanjeev Krishan also used to be with her during these religious “puja” or “kirtan”. The result was that Thakurji, as an infant, began to take such puja / archna studiously and evolve into a spiritually-inclined personality.
